Reminder: January 3 Return Date

A friendly reminder to all:  Although other Mililani public schools will return from Winter Break on January 4, 2012, Yellow, Blue, and Red Tracks will instead begin the third quarter on Tuesday, January 3, 2012.  


The school office will be open during the break between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.  We highly encourage parents to deposit funds into their child's meal account.  Meal account balances are available online.  Click here to view instructions on how to do so.

HIP TV Video on PBS, 12/22

MMS's very own HIP Tv created a video on Aquaponics which will be on aired on PBS Hawaii's Hiki No on Thursday, 12/22/11 at 7:00 pm.  It will be rebroadcasted throughout the week and also on the PBS Hawaii's website.

A special mahalo to Mr. Jake Kardash (Red 7) for helping out with HIP Tv and for being our content expert for the aquaponics piece.

School In Session on Friday, December 16

Knowing schools on a traditional calendar will end the year on Thursday, December 15, we wanted to remind you that Mililani Middle will be in session on Friday, December 16.  School will end at 2:35 p.m. as usual.

Melemanu and Waipio Bus Update

Because all other Mililani public schools will not be in session on Friday, December 16 and Tuesday, January 3, pick up time for Melemanu and Waipio Valley bus riders on Friday, December 16 and Tuesday, January 3, has been moved up to 7:15 a.m. 

2012 MHS Summer School PE Registration

Due to Mililani Middle School's unique school calendar, outgoing Grade 8 students who plan on attending Mililani High School next school will be offered the opportunity to take their Grade 9 physical education class requirement here at Mililani Middle.  Two sessions will be offered to all Blue, Red, and Green Track Grade 8 students.   The first session will run from late February to early April. The second session will run from April to late June.  


Registration information will be posted to this blog in January with registration taking place soon after.  Please check back here and at our school's web page for updates.  


Because Yellow 8 students will be off during the traditional summer, they will have the opportunity to register and attend summer school classes at the Mililani High campus.

MHS 9th Grade Honors English Testing Results

Results from the testing for 9th Grade Honors English will be sent home with students in the second week of January.  Green Track students will receive their results January 26 or 27.  All students accepted will automatically be registered for Honors English at the high school.  If you have any questions or if, after receiving notice that your child has been accepted, you decide NOT to have him/her registered for Honors English, call or email Steve Schick at Mililani High School.  627-4354 steve_schick@notes.k12.hi.us
